About the Presenter

headshot of person with brown hair and glasses, wearing a purple shirt and multicolored sweater in front of brick wallTara Ennis is the Public Health Supervisor of Community Health at the Juneau County Health Department, where she has served for nearly eight years. She began her career in local tobacco prevention before stepping into her current leadership role, where she oversees a dedicated team of health educators and leads the county’s Community Health Assessment process. Tara holds a Bachelor’s degree in Community Health Education from the University of Wisconsin–La Crosse. Based in Reedsburg, Wisconsin, Tara shares her life with her husband, their two young children, and two rescue dogs. When she’s not working, she enjoys baking sourdough, exploring hiking trails, and spending quality time with her family. 

About the Spotlight Series

PHIG Spotlights provide a space for Wisconsin public health departments to share experiences, lessons learned, and barriers encountered while implementing programs or policies. Each Spotlight includes a virtual presentation, followed by an interactive Q&A or collaborative brainstorming session to foster shared learning, collaboration, and innovation across public health agencies.
