Spotlight on Sheboygan County Division of Public Health

Spotlight presenter Jenny Vorpagel, lead health strategist with Sheboygan County Health & Human Services Division of Public Health, shares her team’s experiences, lessons learned, and barriers encountered while implementing policy assessment tools.

In 2024, Sheboygan County Division of Public Health led their Health & Human Services Department to implement a policy assessment tool that considers equity, trauma informed care, and inclusivity to ensure all policies align with the mission, vision, and values of the department. This year, they will also be facilitating a department-wide Culturally and Linguistically Appropriate Services (CLAS) standards and Civil Rights Compliance crosswalk assessment with plans to also launch a vital document assessment tool.
