All governmental public health staff and allied partners are invited to join the February Immersion led by County Health Rankings and Roadmaps Senior Health Equity Fellow Jonathan Heller and Narrative Infrastructure Team Leader Angela Acker.
Content may be of particular interest to those who want to learn more about what creates the community conditions that impact health – the written and unwritten rules and power dynamics that result in some communities having what they need to thrive and others not having what they need.
In this highly interactive session, participants will:
- gain a shared understanding of the concepts of Structural Determinants of Health and Power.
- practice translation and applications of these concepts in the current public health landscape.
- consider strategies to use in their roles and/or organizations to influence the Structural Determinants of Health.
The presentation portion of this session will be recorded and made available with event follow-up materials.
