Wisconsin’s Commercial Tobacco Prevention and Treatment Program (CTPTP) and its statewide partners place shared leadership, as well as inclusive planning and resource development, at the center of their work.
This Immersion includes a presentation from CTPTP communications staff about the comprehensive, narrative-based approach to their work and tips for integrating and scaling these communications strategies to other public health topics. It also highlights two case studies of shared power and leadership in action:
- Unfiltered: Youth Voices Impacted by Nicotine – a locally-led project that has elevated the first-hand experiences of youth affected by vaping, fostered community collaborations, and helped inform future prevention initiatives.
- Addressing Tobacco Disparities through Innovative Partnerships & Communications – a closer look at the evolution of work to address menthol-flavored commercial tobacco products, starting in Milwaukee and building connections across Wisconsin and beyond.
