UWPHI Immersions Presents: Culturally Responsive Evaluation and Using Narrative to Bridge Relationships

Please register and save the date for the next virtual Public Health Infrastructure Grant (PHIG) Immersion on Thursday, December 12, 2024 from 9:30am – 12pm CST!

This session features members of the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute’s Evaluation and Engaged Research team, who will share examples that highlight reasons for doing evaluation and the roles of relationships in this work. The Immersion will also include a skill-building opportunity – using 1:1 storytelling and public narrative to strengthen connections.

Participants will:

  • Learn about the practice of evaluation and how it can be beneficial to their work and to the goals of health equity.
  • Explore the principles of trustworthiness in building and maintaining relationships that will produce change.
  • Practice communicating their own investment in the work in trustworthy ways.

All governmental public health staff and allied partners are invited to join the December Immersion. Content may be of particular interest to individuals who want to learn more about evaluation and discover tips on how to talk about the impact of your work.

The Foundational Capabilities addressed in this Immersion include Assessment & Surveillance, as well as Accountability & Performance Management. This session will be recorded and will be shared along with follow-up materials. Register today!
