
Soraya Willems-Neal is the Outreach and Facilitation Specialist at the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute (UWPHI). As part of part of the Narrative Infrastructure Team at County Health Rankings & Roadmaps (CHR&R), Soraya’s work includes implementing narrative change across UWPHI and externally through Narratives for Health. In addition, her works at the Institute focusses on community outreach and engagement, and public health workforce development by fostering peer learning and connections.
Prior to joining the UWPHI, Soraya served as the Program Manager for the Multicultural Learning Community at UW-Madison where she organized student-focused programming and resources to advance new and ongoing educational initiatives through an equity lens.
Soraya received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Educational Care Work from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and began her career as a Child Life Specialist in the Department of Pediatric Oncology at Amsterdam UMC – Emma Children’s Hospital.
