Soraya Willems-Neal is the Special Projects Coordinator with the Mobilizing Action Toward Community Health (MATCH) Group. In addition to maintaining project documentation, in this role Soraya develops project strategies to support the implementation and coordination of proposals.
Soraya received her Bachelor’s degree in Social Educational Care Work from Amsterdam University of Applied Sciences and began her professional career as a Child Life Specialist within the Department of Pediatric Oncology at Amsterdam UMC – Emma Children’s Hospital. In 2003, she moved to the United States and began her career as a Higher Ed professional. As a Leadership Advisor at the University of Wisconsin-Whitewater, she served as an advisor and supported a diverse group of undergraduate and graduate students in facilitating a range of leadership and development activities.
Prior to joining MATCH, Soraya worked as the Program Coordinator for the Multicultural Learning Community at UW-Madison where she organized student-focused programming and resources to promote new and ongoing educational initiatives through an equity lens.
Throughout her career Soraya continued seeking those opportunities to support and empower.
Her commitment and approach is to support individuals in various stages of their life pursue their life aspirations and thrive.
