Mary Wienkers

Biography

Mary Wienkers is the Maternal Mortality Review Program Coordinator at the Wisconsin Department of Health Services (DHS) contracted through UW-Madison’s Population Health Institute. Mary recently completed the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee Zilber School of Public Health Master of Public Health program, with a focus on Public Health Policy and Administration and a certificate in Maternal and Child Health. Prior to joining the Maternal Mortality Review team, Mary worked for many years in marketing, advertising, and communications. She is passionate about health equity, women’s health and reproductive justice, and health in all policies.
