
Mary Kate O’Leary (she/her) earned her BS in 2015 from the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where she studied conversation biology and global health. After graduation, Mary Kate traveled to Kenya for six months to work with various non-governmental organizations to promote health education and sustainability. Mary Kate worked at the UW Health Clinical Simulation Program as the Program Coordinator for three years, before completing MPA/MPH dual degrees at UW-Madison in 2021. After graduation, she joined the UW Population Health Institute as a Research Intern, where she studies incarceration policy as a social determinant of health. Mary Kate is the co-leader of the RESULTS Madison Chapter as an advocate on global poverty issues and is passionate about community involvement.
