Jessi Corcoran is the Narrative and Resource Development Coordinator at the Population Health Institute, a collaborative position with the Department of Health Services. She has a B.A. in English and Gender Studies from Indiana University and a Master of Public Health from Boston University. Her studies focused primarily on sexual violence prevention, public health communications, and the intersections of health and oppression. Jessi brings hands-on experience developing health communications and data visualization resources at Boston University and UW-Platteville. At the Wisconsin Coalition Against Sexual Assault, she led aspiring allyship trainings and initiatives and guided the anti-violence movement in Wisconsin to center racial justice in response and prevention work. Her current work involves developing health communications resources and advancing a transformative health equity narrative in Wisconsin. Jessi’s professional ambition is to fully integrate public health and social justice work.
