About the Galea Webinar:
Protecting and promoting the nation’s health remains paramount for public health systems, action to address economic and racial inequities, public mistrust in government and workforce burnout is urgent. Public Health 3.0’s framework can help us navigate these challenges. This webinar will explore the framework’s recommendations with one of the field’s most prolific scholars, Dr. Sandro Galea. Dean of Boston University’s School of Public Health, Galea has authored more than 1,000 publications about the social determinants of health, mental health and trauma. His books include The Contagion Next Time. The conversation will challenge us to consider ways to transform health systems to become more efficient, compassionate, and equitable.

About Wisconsin Discusses: Public Health 3.0:
Please join a Wisconsin centered discussion inspired by Dr. Sandro Galea’s webinar. Join colleagues from around the state in this session to learn from each other, and to build awareness of the foundational public health services in our state.
Maggie Northrup, State Health Plan Coordinator from the Wisconsin Department of Health Services, Division of Public Health (DHS) will help connect the dots to the State Health Improvement Plan (SHIP). Soraya Willems-Neal and Alan Talaga will facilitate the discussion.
We look forward to connecting across sectors, and invite participation from local governments, community-based organizations, grassroots organizers, health systems, public health departments, academics, and any others interested.
