Jessica SolczDevarati is a Researcher and Community Improvement Strategist of the Robert Wood Johnson Foundation funded RWJF Culture of Health Prize program at the UW Population Health Institute. The RWJF Culture of Health Prize recognizes and celebrates communities that have placed a priority on health and are creating powerful partnerships and deep commitments to make change.

Prior to joining the UW Population Health Institute, Devarati was a Program Evaluator and an Adult Education practitioner in University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee’s School of Continuing Education and has worked with a range of programs to empower local communities. She has engaged diverse stakeholders - including schools, community-based organizations, state agencies, and non-traditional learners - and has facilitated the development, implementation and evaluation of educational partnerships to improve the educational achievement of students with economic disadvantage.

Devarati received a doctorate degree in Urban Education from the University of Wisconsin-Milwaukee. She also holds master’s degrees in English from Jadavpur University, India, and in Adult Education from Texas A&M University. She is currently a Senior Research Fellow with the Massachusetts Institute of College and Career Readiness.
