Jason Paltzer, PhD, MPH
Assistant Scientist

Jason Paltzer is an assistant scientist with the Population Health Institute’s Evaluation Research program and assistant professor of public health at Grand Canyon University in Phoenix, Arizona. He holds a PhD in Population Health Sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and an MPH from the University of Minnesota-Twin Cities. His research focuses on substance use prevention and harm reduction among low-income populations in the US and Central Africa. Since 2011, Dr. Paltzer has been working with screening, brief intervention, and referral to treatment program data and evaluating its impact on healthcare utilization among low-income patients.
