A series of 22 essays have been commissioned to address topics under three broad categories:
What metrics can be used to measure the health of a community for the purpose of purchasing population health?
What real incentives for improvement of these metrics can be employed at the local level?
What types of partnerships across multiple sectors are necessary to make such incentives real and sustaining?
Authors of these essays have been invited to an October conference 2009 to discuss lessons learned and next step.
We will operate and continually improve a Population Health Resource and Technical Assistance Website to provide an
introduction to the field of population health, gather input into the MATCH project, provide access to the County
Health Rankings and related supporting material, and disseminate other project results. We will also develop and
implement other dissemination strategies as appropriate.
