Increase awareness of the multiple determinants and
summary measures of population health to engage multiple sectors in population health improvement
Dr. Remington leads the work under this objective, working closely with Drs.
Booske and Niederdeppe.
Activity A.1: Prepare and release annual County Health Rankings for all 50 states
Activity A.2: Communicate with and engage multiple stakeholders
- Engage state and local health departments and national organizations in the County Health Rankings model and process
- Design, test and implement strategies to support population health messaging and enhance the dissemination and effective use of health rankings
Activity A.3: Evaluate content and communication strategies and make appropriate revisions
Conduct both formal and informal evaluations of the publications and the associated communication efforts for the 2009 and 2010 releases of the County Health Rankings.
