- Rotate through the primary programs of the largest urban health department in Wisconsin. Get hands-on experience in program management and delivery of services in STD treatment, lead prevention, infant mortality prevention and other major programs.
- Evaluate quality based health care purchasing program in the largest health purchasing cooperative in the state. Develop quality improvement initiatives of area health care providers.
- Develop real-world experience in health data assessment, evaluation, and implementation of population-based policies for a multi-county rural health program.
- Assist the Milwaukee Medical Examiner in developing new methods of epidemiological analysis of case data. Design and develop data collection tools. Work with other public health and health care agencies to coordinate communication of findings.
- Develop community based health assessment including data collection and disease surveillance. Coordinate activities with county, community organizations and health agencies. Focus on a specific community. Manage physical activity and nutrition action project.
