Kristin is a first-year graduate student in the Population Health Sciences M.S. program and a project assistant at the Population Health Institute. She is currently working on the Wisconsin Collaborative Diabetes Quality Improvement Project which aims to improve diabetes care through evaluation and collaborative initiatives. Prior to her graduate work, Kristin attended the University of Wisconsin – La Crosse and graduated with a Bachelor of Science in Community Health Education and a second major in Spanish. She has previously worked with the Wisconsin State Lab of Hygiene, the Gundersen Lutheran Medical Research Department, and as a Wellness Coordinator in Des Moines, Iowa. She is interested in researching issues related to health care policy and health insurance access, as well as health disparities within the Latino population.
