Barbara A. Rudolph, Ph.D., MSSW, is a Senior Scientist at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, Center for Health Systems Research and Analysis, and serves as Lead Scientist for the County Health Rankings program at the Population Health Institute, School of Medicine and Public Health, University of Wisconsin-Madison. She also provides technical assistance and consultation services to the National Association of Health Data Organizations on quality and efficiency measurement issues and on data collection and dissemination. Dr. Rudolph has also served as the Senior Science Director of The Leapfrog Group, an employer sponsored patient safety advocacy group. In her role at Leapfrog she had oversight of the Leapfrog Hospital Survey, and served on external measurement committees, including the CSAC at the National Quality Forum. Prior positions included serving as the Director of the Bureau of Health Information for the State of Wisconsin; and, Study Director at the National Opinion Research Center (NORC) at the University of Chicago. Her research interests include survey and ranking methodologies, statistical issues related to public reporting of health and healthcare related data, and hospital quality performance measurement. Dr. Rudolph earned her PhD and MSSW at the University of Wisconsin-Madison.
