Amanda Jovaag is an Assistant Researcher with the University of Wisconsin Population Health Institute in the University of Wisconsin School of Medicine and Public Health. She holds a Masters degree in population health sciences from the University of Wisconsin-Madison and has been working for the university since 2003.
Ms. Jovaag is currently working on two projects. The first is the Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant, a substance abuse prevention effort funded by SAMSHA. Ms. Jovaag also serves as an epidemiology and evaluation consultant. She also is working as an evaluator with the Bureau of Community Health Promotion on a CDC-funded integration pilot program.
Prior to her current projects, Ms. Jovaag created an evidence-based public health practice Web site for Wisconsin's Division of Public Health; assisted with the surveillance and evaluation of Wisconsin's Tobacco Prevention and Control Program; and assisted in the creation of the Wisconsin County Health Rankings.
