Brooke Blaalid joined our Evaluation Unit as an Evaluator and Trainer for the South Dakota Strategic Prevention Framework State Incentive Grant (SPF SIG) in March 2011. Brooke received her Bachelor of Science degree in Psychology from the University of Nebraska – Lincoln in 2004, and her Master of Social Work from the University of Iowa in 2011. This fall, Brooke will start her doctoral program at the University of South Dakota in Political Science with an emphasis in Public Policy and Administration.
Prior to her current position, Brooke was a clinical therapist for children in rural South Dakota and also worked as a therapist for adolescents in an in-patient hospital setting. Brooke is an active board member for the National Association of Social Work-South Dakota (NASW-SD) and is passionate about the development and evaluation of policies and programs that better the good of others.
